So within 20 minutes I installed WordPress here on my server, personalized it a bit and created a first post.
This ease of use for ordinary people is probably what makes WordPress so appealing.

Blogging with WordPress so far is very simple and you can do many things right out of the box. I have slightly adjusted the Twenty Fourteen theme that came as standard. I uploaded a header image, edited the CSS to center the blog on my large screen and edited this Hello world! post. My next post will be a screen shot of the current state of the blog to show what can be done from a blank webserver folder to first blog post in 20 minutes.
